Privacy, data handling, and API keys

Estimates and calculations

Task estimates you enter or point at are used solely to perform probability calculations. They are processed temporarily and are not stored beyond the time required to generate results.

Sheet content is not kept as a copy on iCareNOW servers. The add-on saves only spreadsheet ID, sheet name or ID, and column ID in your browser so it can remember which tab and columns you were using.

Google Limited Use

ProjectCare Insight’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The add-on requests only the minimum OAuth scopes needed: Sheets access to read task data, sidebar UI, account identity for settings, and script.external_request solely for optional Ask AI.

iCareNOW does not sell, rent, or share user data with third parties, except as described for Ask AI when you explicitly opt in.

Ask AI and API keys

Ask AI is opt-in. You bring your own OpenAI API key. The key is stored in Google’s PropertiesService — never sent to iCareNOW. When you press Send, derived project context (not raw sheet cells) goes to OpenAI under OpenAI’s policies. Details: Ask AI (bring your own key).

Leave cleanly

  • Uninstall from the Marketplace listing or from Extensions inside Sheets. Uninstalling deletes local browser storage the add-on used.
  • Revoke access in Google Account Connections.
  • Request deletion of any associated data by emailing support@icarenow.io.
  • Remove an Ask AI key with Remove API key in the Ask AI panel.
